WHAT IS SCRIP? We're pleased to share some exciting news about a fundraising program for our organization. It's called "SCRIP", and it's the fundraising program that works while you shop.

SCRIP is simply a word that means "substitute money" - in other words, SCRIP is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They're the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our SCRIP program including Kohls, JCPenney, The Gap, Speedway, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster and many, many others.

HOW DO I ORDER SCRIP?  We have two ways, online and paper orders.

ONLINE ORDERING: St. Augustine participates in the efficient online ordering system called ShopWithScrip! Here’s how it works:
1. Register your family at www.shopwithscrip.com. Enter the school code: EABEA9C818L7
2. Select the merchants you’d like to purchase SCRIP from and submit your order.
3. Print the confirmation page, write a check payable to St. Augustine SCRIP and place both in an envelope
     marked “SCRIP PAYMENT”.
4. Make sure your payment is in the school office by Tuesday at 8:30 to ensure delivery the following Friday.
5. Your order will be ready for pick up by 11:00 on Friday.

The SCRIP Committee is excited to announce our newest local merchant! That means you can buy the $25 and $100 denominations at a 12% benefit instead of the normal 9% benefit for the bonus period only.	3/29/08	5/9/08
	GLSC customers will receive an additional 5% bonus benefit for the Shutterfly gift cards, effective Saturday, April 5th through Friday, May 2, 2008. So when you purchase the $25 denomination during this special offer you will receive a 14% benefit instead of the normal 9%.	4/5/08	5/2/08

	Great Lakes Scrip Center and Barnes & Noble are pleased to offer our customers a 1% bonus benefit on Barnes & Noble gift cards from Saturday, May 3rd until Friday, May 30th. That means you can buy the $10, $20 "Teacher Gift", $25, and $100 denominations at a 10% benefit instead of the normal 9% benefit for the bonus period only.	5/3/08	5/30/08
	Borders will be offering a 1% bonus benefit effective Saturday, May 3rd until Friday, June 6th. When you purchase the popular $10 and $25 denominations during this special offer you will receive a 10% contribution instead of the normal 9%.	5/3/08	6/6/08

St. Augustine is committed to making a quality Catholic education affordable for ALL families.  To that end, we are pleased to extend our current SCRIP Tuition Reduction Incentive Program to include families who intend to send their children to St. Augustine in the future.  We are calling it our Promise Enrollment Program.  Anyone who might like to send their children or future children can participate!

50% of the profits generated by Promise Enrollment families will be saved during the years that family participates until they enroll their child in St. Augustine School.  The amount accrued will then be deducted off their first tuition bill.  Once the child is enrolled at St. Augustine School, former Promise Enrollment families can continue to purchase SCRIP and earn 50% off their tuition in the traditional manner.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?  It’s simple!  Download, print and fill out the enrollment form from the link to the right.  Return it to the school office.  Register your family at www.shopwithscrip.com and use the school code EABEA9C818L7.  Enter the word PROMISE for your child’s teacher.  Then relax as you start saving for your child’s future!

DUE DATE CHANGE: There is no school Friday, May 9^th.  So that families can have their SCRIP in time for Mother’s Day we have changed the due date and pick up date for the week of May 5th to Monday/Thursday.

• Monday, May 5^th - ALL PAPER ORDERS & ONLINE ORDERS DUE BY 11:00 a.m.
• Thursday, May 8^th - ORDERS READY FOR PICKUP BY THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY 

Please indicate on your confirmation or order form if you want your order to go home with your child on Thursday!

SCRIP payments, orders and pickups will be managed in the school office through the end of June.  They will move to the rectory office in July and return to the school office when it opens in August.  Due dates will remain the same as the regular school year.  Orders and payments can always be dropped in the collection basket during Mass.  Place it in a sealed envelope clearly labeled "SCRIP".
